In der durch die Ringstraße begrenzten Innenstadt wohnt man in A3, 15 oder U5, 27. Die Innenstadt, zwischen den Flüssen Rhein und Neckar, ist in Quadrate unterteilt; von A1 bis U7. Neben dieser Besonderheit befindet sich auch das zweitgrößte Barockschloss Europas, eine der größten Jugendstilanlagen mit dem Wasserturm und dem Kongresszentrum Rosengarten in dieser Stadt. HEIDELBERG abrite l’une des plus anciennes universités d’Europe. La renommée mondiale de la ville est illustrée par le nombre de visiteurs. Elle doit la douceur de son climat à sa situation sur les pentes de l’Odenwald et à la présence du fleuve Neckar. La vieille ville abrite différentes églises, des musées, des bâtiments historiques et des monuments commémoratifs. Pour s’imprégner de l’ambiance de la ville, il ne faut pas seulement se rendre dans la rue principale et au château, mais aussi découvrir les cafés et les petites boutiques des rues secondaires. Le « Philosophen Weg », situé de l’autre côté de la vallée du Neckar, offre une vue imprenable sur la vieille ville et le château.
